NEO Preschool Nillambe was established in 2007 with only 11 students. In 2008, the present administratrix of the Preschool, Mrs. R.W. Sujani Thalatha Kumarihamy took over the duties and since then the institute has been upgrading itself as a leading Early Childhood Development Centers in the area of Galaha, Deltota, Pupuressa, Hewaheta, Thalathuoya, Belwood, Nillambe, Gurukale and around. NEO Preshcool Nillambe was awarded the third place at the competition of Productivity among Early Childhood Development Centers in Kandy  District in 2018.
